This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from a third party. There is no tracking here to consent to. The only personal information Director School holds about you is what you choose to type into the contact form or send by email.
Who is responsible
Custard-pies PCP Ltd, trading as Director School, based in Wirral, Merseyside, is the data controller for this website. You can reach us at peter@directorschool.co.uk.
What is collected, and why
The contact form. It asks for your name, your email address and your message. That is all it asks for and all it stores. It is used for one thing: to reply to you. The lawful basis is legitimate interests, namely responding to someone who has asked to be contacted, and where your enquiry is about engaging Director School, taking steps at your request before entering a contract.
Email. If you email or book a call directly, that correspondence is held in the Director School mailbox for as long as the working relationship or the enquiry needs it.
Server logs. The hosting provider records standard technical information for every request, including your IP address, the page requested and your browser type. These logs exist to keep the site running and to protect it from abuse. They are not linked to you, not used for marketing, and not read unless something goes wrong.
Cookies and tracking
None. This site sets no cookies, uses no analytics or advertising tools, and embeds no third-party scripts. The typefaces are served from this website rather than from Google Fonts, so loading a page here does not tell Google or anyone else that you visited. That is why there is no cookie banner: there is nothing to ask you about.
Two links do lead off this site, to Peter's LinkedIn profile and to Bright Loop Media. Nothing is shared with either until you choose to click.
Who else handles your information
Two service providers process information on Director School's behalf:
- Netlify hosts the website and receives contact form submissions.
- Google Workspace provides the email.
Both are based in the United States, so information you send may be transferred outside the UK. Both operate under the standard contractual protections for international transfers required by UK data protection law. Nothing is sold, rented or passed to anyone else.
How long it is kept
Contact form submissions and enquiry emails are kept for as long as it takes to deal with your enquiry and for up to 24 months afterwards, then deleted. If we go on to work together, records are kept for as long as the engagement and any legal or accounting obligation requires. Ask us to delete your information sooner and we will.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the information held about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how it is used, and to receive a copy in a portable form. Email peter@directorschool.co.uk and you will get a response within one month. There is no charge.
If you are not happy with the response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you came to us first so we can put it right.
Changes to this page
If what happens to your information changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top changes too.
